About LoadHoller
LoadHoller is a truck dispatch service for owner-operators and small fleets. We find and negotiate loads, and we publish the rate guides, calculators and dated market figures we use to do it.
Why a dispatch desk writes rate guides
Most of what goes wrong on a load starts with a number nobody checked. A posting reads $3.00 a mile until you add the 75 empty miles to the shipper. A broker sounds fine until you look up the MC. A rate looks low until you compare it with what the lane paid last week. Dispatch is mostly reading those numbers fast and saying them out loud.
So we write down how we read them. The guides on this site walk through postings field by field, the calculators do the math we do on every load, and the market pages show public figures with their sources and dates. You can use all of it for free and book your own loads. If you'd rather have someone do it all day while you drive, that's what the desk is for.
Our line for it: read the board like a pro, or let us.
Who we work for
We dispatch owner-operators and small fleets of one to ten trucks: 26 ft box trucks and longer, hotshots, dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, step decks, power only, car haulers, dump trucks, oversize and hazmat tankers. We don't dispatch cargo vans, sprinters or box trucks under 26 ft. Every type of equipment gets the same desk and the same attention.
The fee is a percentage of gross load revenue: 7% for new authorities, box trucks and hotshots, 5% for a single truck with six months or more of authority, and 4% for fleets of two or more trucks. No setup fee, no minimums, month-to-month, cancel with 30 days notice. If you don't haul, you don't pay. The fee breakdown has the full math.
How the desk works
The desk works mon-sun, 24/7. We're not a load board or a freight broker, and we never handle freight money: brokers pay you or your factoring company directly.
- We search the boards and our broker contacts for loads that fit your truck, lanes and home time.
- We check the broker before we call: authority, contact details and payment history where it's available.
- We counter above the floor rate you set, with the empty miles counted.
- We bring you the load. You say yes or no, and saying no costs nothing.
- After a yes, the broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you. You read it and sign it; we never sign for you.
- Then we handle check calls, delivery confirmations, carrier packets, detention and layover claims, and plan the reload.
How we use market data
Every market figure on this site comes from a named public source, such as USDA truck rate reports, Bureau of Labor Statistics price indexes, EIA diesel prices, or a company's own public release, and carries its period and the date we checked it. We don't invent numbers, copy paid dashboards or publish our own rate predictions. Our editorial policy explains the full process.
We're not affiliated with any load board, broker or data company named in our guides. A few partners may pay us referral fees, and our disclosure page lists every one.
